Body Armor Saves Chicago Officer In Friendly Fire Incident

A Chicago police officer was hospitalized in good condition after he was accidently shot by a fellow officer while trying to subdue a knife-wielding man in downtown Chicago, the Sun-Times reports.
One officer attempted to disarm the man and a second officer opened fire -- striking both the man with the knife and his fellow officer. The man did not survive the shooting.
