Chester, Pa., Police Kill Shooting Suspect in Confrontation

A man wanted in a shooting in Ridley Township was shot and fatally wounded overnight when he pointed a gun at a police officer in Chester, Pa., authorities say.
The man was pronounced dead at Crozier Chester Medical Center at 12:36 a.m. He was not immediately indentified.
Chester police said they received an alert at 11:30 p.m. to be on the lookout for a man wanted in an earlier shooting of a woman in Ridley Township.
