Department Dismisses Charges Against 12 Baltimore Officers

The Baltimore P.D. will not pursue criminal charges against 12 officers who had been accused of misconduct, following the dismissal of an internal investigator who was fired for allegedly backdating the charging documents.
The department fired its chief of trial boards in April, after the police union informed The Baltimore Sun about the alleged tampering of the reports. The department issued 12 "letters of declination" to the 12 officers.
Once case involved two officers who were accused of forcing a black detective to watch racist material on the Internet.
