As a Deputy Sheriff I think it is my duty to my family and the public to carry of duty. I know that off duty carry is a controversial subject, but I think there are more arguments for carrying a firearm when your off duty than not. I hope to never be involved in an incident with my gun off duty or with my family, but I know for sure I would rather have it when that time comes than be stuck without it. I cant protect myself or my family against a deranged gunman without a gun myself.

Like I said I hope it never happens, but if/when it does I will be prepared.
