S.C. Trooper Told to Plead Guilty or Stand Trial

A federal judge has ordered a South Carolina state trooper caught on video trying to run down a suspect to either plead guilty or stand trial on the charges.

Lance Cpl. Alexander Richardson appeared Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Paige Gossett, and agreed to have a jury trial on March 11 if he does not plead guilty.
