Grand Jury Gets Dallas Police Pepper Spray Case

Dallas police have placed on administrative leave two officers involved in an August incident in which a man was taken to West Dallas, doused with pepper spray and left there.

Well, obviously there is limited information (factual details) presented in the story as to what happened. The writer seems to present the account honestly and objecively, and not jumping to conclusions. We don't know what happened that resulted in the use of pepper spray on the suspect. I do say that if he was an illegal alien, he should be turned over to the ICE immediately for deportation if charges are not warranted. This should be departmental policy. But being pepper sprayed or dropping off somewhere far away from his domicile is not a proper response for his being verbally abusive to the officers, if this is what happened. In such cases, he should be charged with obstructing or resisting or something similar or at least held overnight.
