North Carolina Trooper Dies After His Car Slides into Garbage Truck

North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Stocks was on his way to help those involved in a car accident near Wake Technical Community College on Tuesday when he slid into the path of a garbage truck.

Stocks died in an ambulance as emergency workers rushed him to the hospital. His comrades worked through Tuesday evening's rain to sort through what happened.
