AIS’s Dual Screen Simulator features front and rear video and audio that allows officers to practice observation techniques and time-critical judgements using video branching and DVD technology. The training simulator creates random video scenarios based on the reaction or inaction of the trainee.

The troopers were told by officers on the scene that the suspect had fired on them with a rifle. The troopers decided to deploy robots. They sent two PacBot 510 tracked robots and a SPOT four-legged robot dog, “to assist in locating the subject."
This Massachusetts State Police robot dog took rifle fire from a suspect during a barricade incident in early March. Boston Dynamics is replacing the robot and keeping the damaged one for research, MSP says.
