'Animal House' Fraternity Criticized for Bloods and Crips Party

August 14, 2013  |

The Dartmouth College fraternity that inspired "Animal House" is in hot water for co-hosting a "Bloods and Crips" party with a sorority this summer.

The Alpha Delta fraternity and Delta Delta Delta sorority cohosted the July 26 party at the fraternity house, where members showed up dressed as members of the black street gangs. A student reported the party to administrators, saying it attendees used "racialized language, speech, and dress."

The fraternity issued a statement acknowledging the party and said they "failed to preemptively recognize the offensive nature of the party's theme," reports the Huffington Post.

Now the liberals are defending mockery of 2 of the biggest blood thirsty street gangs? How has our country gotten this stupid.

BK @ 8/15/2013 12:55 AM

Troop, I didn't see political affiliation mentioned in the article. Source, or clairvoyance?

Trigger @ 8/16/2013 5:28 AM

It would have been interesting if the party goers encountered the real gang members!! Idiots

Marc @ 8/16/2013 6:08 AM

Where does it say anything about liberals, Troop? Wow, there is nothing more irritating than people who bring politics into every single conversation. Dartmouth is a private, ivy league college that is known for producing CEO's and it's graduates have one of the highest starting salaries in the country- there is just as much a chance that those were members of the Young Republicans as they were liberals. Regardless, Trigger said it best.

Clark @ 8/22/2013 1:40 PM

BK and Marc, the only people that are concerned with political correctness are liberals. Someone (victim/liberal) complained to college administrators. The administrators also must be liberals or they would have told the liberal victim to pound sand with their silly complaint. Instead of wasting calories shamming and scolding college students that mock gang bangers, why don't we shame, scold, and arrest real gang members. That is the problem with liberals, they can't see the real problem is with gangs, not kids dressing like a gang member for a costume party.

Michelle Thompson @ 6/15/2014 12:46 AM

Exactly had they wished they dressed up and acted like well educated smart and sophisticated gang members? Umm no cuz that doesn't exist it does sound like that school is made of liberal IDIOTS
