San Antonio Cop's Killer Executed

October 27, 2011  |

The street gang member who fatally shot a San Antonio Police sergeant and his wife after he "just went crazy" was executed tonight in Texas.

Frank Garcia, 39, was given a lethal injection and pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m. Central time, reports the Houston Chronicle. Before expiring, he yelled "Hallelujah" and shouted, "Thank you for this miracle you are performing in my life. My God is holy, holy, holy. Hallelujah!"

Garcia was sentenced to death for the March 29, 2001 murders. Garcia shot Sgt. Hector Garza, 48, in the head, he later told investigators, because he knew the officer would be wearing a ballistic vest.

Garcia had earlier killed his wife, Jessica, who had planned to leave him. He shot his wife three times in the head. Garcia, a member of the Angels of Sin gang, used a machine pistol in the attacks, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Only took 10 years to off this dirtbag. Why so long? I guess the folks of Texas enjoy housing this scum while a fine Officer didn't get that time with his family.

At least they didn't let him go like the cop killer the Minnesota Parole Board just released.

Texas got it right, Minnesota didn't.

It's nice to see that even after ten years, the State of Texas did the right thing by executing this murderer of a Police Officer.

I'm sure the defendant was given every appeal available! So justice has been done.

It's too bad that the State of Minn. does not consider the murder of it's Police Officer's a capital offense. Only have to serve 29 years in Minn.

At least the State of Texas appreciates the value of their Police Officer's. Keep up the good work Texas.

May the Good Lord watch over Sgt. Garza's soul and may he rest in peace. May the Good Lord watch over Sgt. Garza's Family and his Sister and Brother Officers.

Kudos to Texas,,,, Thumbs down to Minnesota,,,,,
