Chandler Officer Killed In Shootout Identified

Chandler (Ariz.) Police Officer Carlos Ledesma was attempting to purchase a large quantity of marijuana, when he was killed on an undercover assignment in a south Phoenix home, the Arizona Republic reports.

Ledesma, a 34-year-old father of two, may have been killed by drug dealers planning to rob the undercover officers.

During the "drug deal gone bad," two other officers were wounded and three suspects were killed or wounded. Two additional suspects have been taken into custody.
