Dave Young, a long-time Police Advisory Board member, is co-hosting a television show on the National Geographic Channel called "Crash Test Human," airing its premiere on January 16 at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.

In the first episode of this series, Dave Young and co-host Steven Lee will investigate how we survive when we drive. To find out how crash testing works, Dave will experience and survive a head-on collision and T-bone crash. The show looks at how safety cages and crumple zones work, how safe safety belts are, questions whether air bags really work, and discusses how to survive a car crash into water.

Future episodes will explore the scientific and educational aspects of other equipment, objects, and items we use daily.
