Camden Police Union Fights Dismantling of Agency

Officials are checking into an allegation that an Atlanta Police cadet who passed out during training was denied water. The recruit collapsed during a training session in 96 degree heat on a July afternoon.

New Recruits Join Savannah-Chatham PD

Fourteen new recruits have joined the Savannah-Chatham (Ga.) Police Department, following 19 weeks of training in the academy. The recruits, who were sworn in July 26 at the Savannah Civic Center, included Nicholas Wissner, a former Army Ranger with five combat deployments.
