Former dispatcher Carly Moriarty has been hired on as the fourth female officer on the Walpole (Mass.) Police Department. Police Chief Richard Stillman said the department specifically sought out a woman for the open spot to bring the total number of women on the now 40-officer force up to 10 percent.
