FBI: Ark. Ex-Trooper Distributed Cocaine Evidence

An Arkansas State Police lieutenant has been fired, arrested, and charged with taking cocaine from the agency's evidence room in Little Rock and turning it over to a drug dealer, the FBI announced.

An Arkansas State Police lieutenant has been fired, arrested, and charged with taking cocaine from the agency's evidence room in Little Rock and turning it over to a drug dealer, the FBI announced.

Trooper Sedrick Reed, 43, removed cocaine from the evidence room and gave it to Lamont Johnson, 45, who then sold it to a confidential informant, according to the FBI. Reed was an 18-year law enforcement veteran.

If convicted, Reed and Johnson face 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
