Eight law enforcement agencies in Illinois and Missouri are coordinating a toy drive for the children of an Illinois State Police trooper who was killed on Monday.
Trooper Kyle Deatherage, a motor officer, was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer truck during a traffic stop on Nov. 26. He left behind a wife, Sarah, and two children, 4-year-old Kaylee and 10-month-old Camden.
Gifts can be dropped off at the Alton (Ill.) Police Department, Collinsville (Ill.) Police Department, Des Peres (Mo.) Department of Public Safety, Eureka (Mo.) Police Department, Illinois State Police (District 11), Madison County (Ill.) Sheriff's Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop C, or Overland (Mo.) Police Department.
