Baltimore Police Recruitment Heads to Community College

The Baltimore Police Department is seeking potential officers from the Cayuga Community College's criminal justice program.
Recruiters from the department will administer free civil service and fitness tests at CCC's Spartan Hall at 10 a.m. today. Applicants will learn by the end of the day if they've cleared the first hurdle toward becoming a police officer in the nation's eighth largest police department. Rookie officers start at $41,290 a year plus benefits.
The department announced it will hire 300 officers by the end of the year.
