Rookie L.A. Sheriff's Deputy Mistook Clerk for Robber

A rookie Los Angeles Sheriff's deputy fired eight shots at the clerk of a liquor store following a robbery on Sunday, mistaking him for the robber, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The deputy arrived at Likun Sahilu's liquor store moments after it was robbed. Sahilu began pointing at the deputies who were about 50 feet away outside his store.
The unidentified deputy fired at the unarmed Sahilu, thinking he was pointing a gun at them.
