Tennessee Rookie Says Inappropriate Text Was Honest Mistake

A Jackson (Tenn.) police rookie fired for sending an inappropiate text to a female officer colleague has told the Jackson Sun that he shouldn't have been terminated for what was an honest mistake.
Cory Franklin, who was dismissed Aug. 9, had been on the job since November and said he was trying to send the picture message to his girlfriend, but accidentally sent it to a fellow officer.
Franklin said he apologized to the female officer.
