Philly Officer Charged With Murder In Off-Duty Shooting

The district attorney has filed murder charges against a Philadelphia Police officer for allegedly shooting an unarmed man on a South Philadelphia street on Sunday, the Inquirer reports.
Witnesses have said Officer Rudolph Gary shot Howard Williams on Sunday evening, then stood over him and fired several more times.
The department has begun proceedings to fire Gary, 26, who has been a Philadelphia officer for less than a year.
