Massachusetts Officials May Have Nixed Sgt. Crowley As Cadet Grad Speaker

Massachusetts officials may have intervened to keep Sgt. James Crowley, the white Cambridge officer who arrested Harvard professor Henry Gates, from speaking to a group of police cadets, several media outlets are reporting.
State officials may have stepped in to keep Crowley from speaking at the Randolph Regional Police Training Academy at an April ceremony for 54 recruits, the Boston Globe reports.
