Seattle Officer Killed, Trainee Wounded in Halloween Drive-by

Seattle police are following leads in the shooting death of a veteran officer and wounding of a student trainee, following a traffic stop, SeattlePI.com reports.
Officer Timothy Brenton, 39, died in the passenger seat of his parked patrol car after being struck in the head. Britt Sweeney, 33, the student in the driver's seat, was hit in the back.
The two officers were discussing a traffic stop.
