Building a Better Patrol Car: Carbon Motors E7

July 16, 2009 | General

The Carbon Motors E7 prototype patrol vehicle looks something like a cross between an exotic sports car and a prop vehicle from a science fiction film. A 3.0-liter clean-diesel engine powers a vehicle the company says may deliver 300 hp. Listen to our interview with Stacy Dean Stephens, the former Texas patrol officer who envisioned the car. We featured the car in the February 2009 issue.
