U.S. Marshals Arrest Fugitive, End N.C. Crime Spree

U.S. Marshals brought down an alleged one-man crime wave recently when they arrested Gary Hendricks. A fugitive from justice since 2008, Hendricks allegedly embarked on a crime spree in North Carolina spanning at least five counties including Johnston, Cumberland, Bladen, Columbus and Davidson. U.S. Marshals arrested him today in New York.

Florida Department of Corrections Selects Harris Corporation to Upgrade Public Safety Radio Communications System

Harris Corp. and its sales and service partner, Communications International Inc. (CII) have been selected by the Florida Department of Corrections to upgrade its existing radio system to a Harris 800 MHz P25IP (Project 25 to the power of Internet Protocol) communications network system. The new system will provide increased coverage and improved communications to 20 state correctional facilities throughout Florida and will include more than 2,200 Harris portable radios.

The Ford Motor Co. unveiled its new Police Interceptor in Las Vegas today and provided details about the patrol car that will replace the "Crown Vic" in late 2011. Ford also confirmed it has begun production on a second new Police Interceptor that will be a utility vehicle.
