Denver Metro Gang Sweep Nets 23 Arrests

Kudos to the Denver PD for this action and for their cooperation with the Dept of Justice in obtaining these indictments. The criminal activities of gangs has become a culturally destuctive epidemic across the nation that is adversely affecting, and in far too many cases, taking the lives of innocent people. Peaceful agreements cannot be negotiated with them as the only language they understand is superior force. Just like terrorists. Police agencies and prosecutors every where there is a problem must take aggressive action to arrest, indict, and prosecute without making plea agreements, every perpetrator they can, including juveniles. This has become a huge can of worms that has been allowed to develop and will now require the dedication of every level of the judical system in order to make significant inroads into this criminal plague. Various gangs now control much of the inmate populations of many of our prisons which means it is no longer just a street or neighborhood problem but goes all the way up the ladder of the criminal justice system. If it isn't stopped through strict enforcement without regard for the bleeding hearts who scream in protest about violating civil rights or racial profiling or any of the other excuses they make to keep these human predators from having to pay for their crimes, it will only get worse, much worse. And by the way, what ever happened to the civil rights of law abiding people to be safe in their homes, neighborhoods and work places? Do we not have rights too?
