You are in uniform, you are representing a Law Enforcement Agency, YOU ARE A TARGET. The idiot was shooting at a PO as far as he was concerned. Those officers, full time, part time or Aux were still killed in the Line of Duty representing NYPD. Thank God for Commissioner Kelly!

If the patch and the badge says police on it then you are a police officer. Red Tape B.S. if you ask me.. The city put these men on the streets then the city owes it to them to recognize their sacrifice. Are military reservists not really soldiers? I think not.

Federal beauracrats are just the most useless, uncaring, nitwit's on the planet. this should have been a total no brainer. Blue, black, brown, khaki, etc, were all wearing badge's. Thier sacrifice should be honered without question.

You are in uniform. representing the department, you risk your life, and some one kills you while you are defending your community. I know that we deal with the weak of heart, but brain dead too?
I hope that the Commissioner prevailes, the officers honored, and the families treated with the respect they are do for the sacrifices made by those who put their lives on the line.
