New Crime Statistics Website

A new Website from the Justice Department provides comprehensive criminal datasets for state and local law enforcement, including homicide statistics and trends across the 50 states.

The Website, launched by the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), includes data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports, the FBI's Supplementary Homicide Reports, and BJS's Law Enforcement Management and Administrative Statistics.

Users of www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/dataonline/ can construct data tables on reported criminal offenses from the Uniform Crime Reports for all 50 states and local agencies with a population coverage of 10,000 or more. Users can also access homicide trends and characteristics for all 50 states and localities with populations of more than 250,000.

Management and administrative statistics for state and local law enforcement agencies employing 100 or more sworn officers are also available.

You can visit this Website at www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/dataonline/.
