Module III Training

To all the Reserve Officer fellows:

Would you kindly brief me the expectation of the Module III training academy for the reserve police officer position?

Hong,

You might need to add one piece of information. What state are you in? Each state has their own rules and academies. Texas, for example still has many schools which teach the academy for reserves in three phases but it only issues one license. Other states have other rules.

Hi Steve Rothstein,

I am actually in California. I have been waiting for almost 9 months since I submitted my application. I already passed most of the stages. However, I was told that due to the budget, there isn't any academy for reserve officer at this time; that my application is only good for 1 year.

Well, maybe some of the other California readers can help you out then. Sorry, but I can only help with Texas licensing and academy questions.

Good luck, I hope the new stimulus and state budget will solve the academy crunch problem for you.
