Tape that motivational saying on the dash!

I have a collection of motivational sayings that I tape on the dash area for my rookies to see.

I tape a different one daily, so they see it at the beginning of the shift. Hopefully one will stick in their head...

Ones like: "a coffin is alot hotter than that vest"

"they do not have to go home...you do!"

Have any I can use?

RE: Tape that motivational saying on the dash!

"The job is tough. You need to remember the 'Golden Rule'; they don't".

"As a man thinketh in his heart; so is he". Prov. 23:7

"We play like we practice; so practice properly".

"Perception is reality; make theirs a positive perception".

I don't know if these would apply to anything you would use but I like them. The last one about perception is one I made up and use it when reminding my people about how the public perceives us. Hope these help. Have a Merry Christmas

Put it writing

A Supervisor I used to work for always had a sign above his desk that read:

"If it ain't in writing; it ain't!"

I have used it for impressing upon rookies the use of writing down notes, passdown information, including things in incident reports, etc. Just telling someone something is usually not a good way to go, especially for days off requests, shift change requests, receiving information about an incident and on and on. It is amazing how much information is lost or not passed on because it is not written down.

He was a retired "Army Intelligence" officer.

Use Your Judgement

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.
