Suunto X9Mi

The Suunto X9M/i ("Military") is a new version of Suunto's incredible X9i Global Positioning System wristtop computer, designed specifically for Military professionals looking for the ultimate field watch. The array of functions offered with a Suunto X9i GPS watch is still there in the X9M/i, but with some added features that make this watch even more valuable to our friends in the Military, both at home and abroad.

The Suunto X9M/i allows you to plan routes through the field of operations and save them into your watch, which will advise you as to your bearing and the right direction to take to get to your next way point, as well as the way back. Just select the 'find home' feature and your Suunto X9M/i GPS watch will guide you along the route and provide the distance between your current position and "home".

You can also head out into the field without a preset route, and use your X9M/i to keep track of your position, speed, and distance traveled. It will record your progression, which you can save for later analysis, as well as use as a guide to return to your original position, or anywhere along you're route. With the X9M/i you'll still get all the standard Suunto watch functions, plus GPS with global functionality and digital mapping service, as well as an altimeter compass, barometer, and thermometer.

New Features exclusive to the X9M/i are of particular usefulness to those in the field:

Suunto Mosquito Dive

For divers and water sports enthusiasts who want style and precision

Suunto Mosquito Story

Suunto Mosquito is an advanced wristop dive computer for active water sports enthusiasts. With complete air and nitrox capabilities and a separate free diving mode it is suitable for all kinds of diving. In addition to having information available to you at all times, your Suunto Mosquito records and stores data for later analysis. You can view, compare, and analyze your diving performance through a specially designed PC interface. The technical features, combined with the PC interface developed for more graphical representation of your performance, and Suunto's Internet Community, where you can share information with other like-minded divers from around the world, make Suunto Mosquito ideal for divers who want their watch to tell more than the time.

Deeper Understanding

Suunto Mosquito provides different operating modes for different types of diving. In the Air mode, Suunto Mosquito is an advanced dive computer with full decompression capability. In addition to complete dive functions, it provides extensive memory, profile recording and dive planning functions. The logbook records the lifetime history, and can store up to 36 hours of diving, Suunto Mosquito uses the Suunto Reduced Gradient Bubble Model (RGBM) for decompression calculations. In the Nitrox mode, Suunto Mosquito provides the same functions as in the Air mode, but also enables the use of nitrox mixtures with oxygen content of 21-50%. It has an adjustable PO2 limit (1.2 - 1.6 bar) and tracks CNS% and OTU through a graphical display (Oxygen Limit Fraction). In the Freediving mode, Suunto Mosquito provides an accurate 2-second depth and time recording interval. SCUBA and freedives are kept in separate profile and history memories. Suunto Mosquito is also a water resistant sports watch with complete watch functions. It provides a 12/24h time display, dual time function, calendar date, daily alarm, and a timer/stopwatch with split time measurement.

Information in Action

Suunto Mosquito is the choice for recreational, professional and competitive divers who do not compromise when it comes to the quality, materials and functionality of their equipment. Whether diving in shallow waters near your summer cottage or exploring deeper oceans, safety is vital. Suunto Mosquito is packed with solutions enabling safe and responsible decisions underwater. The depth, time and decompression measurement assure that you know precisely how long you have spent in the depths, how deep you are, when you have to surface and how fast you can do it. This way you can maximize the diving performance without jeopardizing your safety. The extensive memory and logbook functions enable you to keep track of your past dives, monitor your progress and plan your training accordingly. Suunto Mosquito is made of composite materials, making it streamlined and lightweight, and yet durable. It is water resistant up to 100 m (330 ft). It is also a versatile sports watch, providing complete watch and stopwatch functions.

Suunto D9

Wireless transmitter, Compass , 3 Gas Switch, Depth 199m , Time

Underwater a diver must monitor several gauges to receive the crucial information about the dive: depth, time, tank pressure, decompression status and direction to name just a few. Suunto D9 combines all dive-critical information in one instrument, conveniently mounted on your wrist. Instead of monitoring a multitude of gauges, you can concentrate on what is important - diving. Suunto D9 is the world's first dive computer to incorporate a digital compass. The compass shows the general direction with a graphical compass rose, as well as the exact bearing with a numerical display. Headings can be stored in Suunto D9's memory for later analysis. The compass can naturally be used on land too. By using Suunto D9's optional wireless transmitter, the diver can also monitor tank pressure and air consumption data from the wrist. The remaining tank pressure is displayed both numerically and graphically, and an estimation of the remaining air-time is given throughout the dive. This allows the diver to monitor the remaining air supply at the same time as he monitors depth and time. Real time air consumption is also stored in the memory. Suunto D9 can be used with up to three different gas mixes containing 21-100% oxygen, allowing gas switching during the dive. Decompression calculations are based on the Suunto Deep Stop RGBM model, which provides iterative deep stops as an alternative to traditional safety stops. For those intending to go really deep, the maximum depth display is set at 200m [660ft]. In addition to basic dive data, the built-in dive logbook provides a graphical dive profile where real time water temperature and tank pressure data can be analyzed on the wristop computer. The sampling rate can be set to as low as 1s.
