Bullistic Vest

I need some help, or suggestions.

I've been in law enforcement for 12 years and been wearing a bullistic vest religiously.  For the first 7 years I wore a Safariland vest that had wraparound sides that did not overlap, and never had a problem, or any comfort issues.  My next vest was a PointBlank with the wraparound sides that overlapped.  I began have problems when I stared wearing this vest.  I could never get a proper fit and began having side and stomach muscle pain and rib cage pain that made a 12 hour shift miserable.  I switched to a Safariland Zero G vest and have been wearing it for the last two years.  I am having the same problem with this vest.  Anyone have any ideas or suggestions that might help to get a proper fit, or at least help with the pain.  Thanks

RE: Ballistic Vest

The only thing I can recommend is get with the distributor. The rep that sold that to you should have a person on staff that has been trained by the factory in the proper way to measure the ballistic vest. They usually will have you bring your gun belt in and wear it during the fitting. They can then measure your body properly while sitting, standing, bending over, etc. That is the only way to do it right. If you gave them your dims, you may be stuck with it. Let them measure you, then you would have some recourse when it doesn't fit correctly.

You may on your own try adjusting the shoulder straps and the side straps in different configurations if you haven't done that yet. Making them all equal sometimes won't work because the body IS NOT symmetrical
