Gun Nut Poll

1. Do you sleep with your handgun within 3 feet of you?

2. Do you name your guns?

3. Do family members catch you talking to your guns?

4. Did you give your daughter a gun when she turned 6 years old, and tell her that Barbies are for babies?

5. Do you ever experience Gun Separation Anxiety?

6. Do you have dreams about shooting?

Thank you.

gun nut poll

My firearm is never more that arms length away, I have named some of the weapons I had (required in Army basic) and as for talking to it only once in a while. I guess that makes me a Gun Peanut. :)

RE: Gun Nut Poll

Gebogirl,

You sound like an old Marine DI I had. When you used the wrong term, he made you run around with an M14 in one hand, yelling "This is my weapon, this is my gun. One is for fighting, one is for fun."

I am sure you can figure out from the context what the other hand had to hold (the gun).

Having been raised by a Marine, I did not make that mistake. Well, not since I was old enough to use the gun, anyway.

lol...there's a difference between a weapon and a gun...trust me...lol. ;-)

We warriors like our weapons. We will pull out the gun when we conquer another kind of territory <smiling>

and yes...i am a fan of weaponry.

Well let's see. I have been forced to sleep with the gun farther than 3 feet away on a few occasions, but it's rare. I haven't named them. No kids, but I'd be one to do that! Yes, absolutely. How can one be without a firearm and not suffer from GSA? I always dream about shooting . . . only sometimes it's not at a paper target!

Wait, this should offer the alternative possibilities, "Are you a peacenik or a redneck?"

* Do you have a bumper sticker with a picture of a crosshairs and "This is my peace symbol?"

Nope. My peas symbol is the Jolly Green Giant. He truly visualizes whirled peas.
