Graffiti list
Anyone know of a comprehensive listing of common gang/youth graffiti? The area I patrol has had a wee bit of an explosion the last few weeks of new graffiti, but none of it is recognisable by myself or the Cops I've spoken with as gang graffiti. Fact is, none of it is legible though it appears to be words. I'd just like something to compare tags with, see if there are any simalarities. The only other info I have on this is the taggers are white male teens, and skateboarders. So, I'm thinking perhaps thrasher tags?
Oh yeah, I also have one of their skateboards. Think I'm going to mount it as a trophy...<LOL>.

RE: Graffiti list
I don't know of a site with one, but the local police gang unit and the US Marshal's office both usually maintain things like that. I don't know how well they will cooperate with you though. I would think the locals should work with you on it, but I know some departments get pretty stuck up.

RE: Graffiti list
It wasn't familiar to the locals. But then again, they tried telling me 3 years ago there weren't gangs in Virginia Beach <LOL>.
