new terror threats
Living overseas right now, wondering how the latest news from DHS that al Qaeda has regrouped, and is growing stronger is resonating with people back home? I hope there is concern, but the discussion rapidly broke down into political battle, with the democrats saying that the administration is just trying to scare Americans and justify the continuing war effort.
I also read that "experts" doubt al Qaeda could pull off another event as large as 9/11 - a theory I personally disagree with....
now we have someone in Tennessee selling nuclear secrets and material, probably to build a dirty bomb (to al Qaeda, I wonder)? Just wondering what the LE community there are home thinks of the latest news. I live north of London and the recent bombing attempts, although unsophisticated, are of great concern since none of the plotters/executors of the plot were on the radar. Thanks for your insight and be safe.

This "Holy war"
Well...
Let me put this the best way I can. By the time this Al-Qaeda claimed "Holy War" is over, ancient Babylon will be destroyed.
Intelligence, gut feelings, intuitions, dreams, prophesies, and world news bring bits and pieces of truth. It's slapping it all together in getting the real picture that becomes the challenge, even for the most seasoned analyst, because truth is distorted in this day and age through many outlets of information.
Al-Qaeda is everywhere, that is no secret. Where there is trouble and evil...there is a unit of warriors ready for battle to defend the innocent. This "holy war" is the ancient battle of ages between good and evil. We all have to remember that Islam, Judiasm, and Christianity came together shortly after 9/11. The horn blast literally sounded calling warriors, and the war officially begun.
I patiently await for the next attack and will be ready to rise with the rest of my brothers and sisters. There is no element of surprise in this "war on terrorism". There may be shock of what evil will do...but there is no surprise it waits until it believes the sheep feel secure in their pastures.
What this Al-Qaeda fails to understand is the very thing that threw Lucifer out of heaven. And they will never learn.
Chew on that for awhile.

RE: new terror threats
Oh, I love that warrior spirit!! Al-Queda is and has been "on the screen" for awhile...even before 9/11. When you pursue your adversary aggressively it helps disrupt their OODA cycle, but we should always guard our flanks. Press on brothers and sisters, pursue evil at every place and opportunity. I am ready to rise with you, Rach...most of my associates think I've already risen, because I try to remain so ever vigilant.

RE: new terror threats
"He is like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields it's fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like the chaff that the wind blows away."
Perhaps it's time to remember that there is more, much more, at stake than just the obvious. We are not fighting just the forces of man. This is a battle to be fought on more than one front, and may possible not be over for man years and may bring around the end.
Let us each hope to be wearing the armour and fighting with the sword rather than be caught unprepared and unprotected. The time is comming for more than just another mere attack and we need to be ready. May we also have the strenght and faith that they have in their god in out ranks and troops.
Why do most of us find ourselves ashamed to speak of it amongst each other? Or unwillingly to look for the help in the abnormal place or way. I had an inmate come in and speak to me today and it's amazing where and how help and insight comes from. He made me realize something, something I had almost been ashamed of and hide from all those except my family. My mountains weren't moving because I lost my mustard seed.
Let us come together as "...ONE NATION UNDER GOD..." Let us lift each other up, and seek wisdom for each other and our leaders that they might make the right choices. Let us stop our bickering and fighting and realize we have a nation to defend and more than a mere mortal war to fight. We have lives and souls to defend and protect.

RE: new terror threats
Speaking of increased terror threats...ya'll know that al Qaeda has emptied out many of their training camps recently? Last time they did that was on 911. So keep your eyes open. And remember, if you pull over a car that smells like diesel and manure get that driver out asap and get your bombsquad out there.
Also remember, if you have to shoot a terrorist, go for the head. They've been making bomb suits now which detonate when a bullet penetrates the fabric. Not to mention bombs with cellphone detonators.

RE: new terror threats
They'll pull off another 'big one' if no one is paying attention. Their manual read like a special operations tactical booklet...far better put together than anything I have seen in LE. They aren't secretive about what targets they are after and they pretty much can be taken at their word, so keep a sharp eye out. Be safe.
