Support a brother and the Supreme Court's decision...

I work (my full-time job - I have two jobs) in a very close proximity (it's a distance measured in feet) of where this shooting took place. This area (not Auburn Hills entirely, but Pontiac and the Auburn Hills area respectively are neighboring communities) and are suffering from robberies, thefts, and shootings left and right (one jurisdiction more so than the other). Some teenagers are finding it fun to start up gangs and start to shoot people because the major police department (not the one involved here) in the area is very short staffed. Where this shooting took place is the jurisdiction boundry line between the agency the officer belongs to that shot the armed robbery suspect, and this is the area in which violent crime has started to spike. I know...I have had a security officer complain to me that they had seen a juvenile with a gun on the side of the road in this same area while they were in route to the hospital with a patient.

Here's the blurp to this story:

"AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- An attempted armed robbery in Auburn Hills on Saturday has left one man dead and another facing charges.

Auburn Hills police said they received a 911 call regarding an attempted robbery in the parking lot of the Salvation Army on Opdyke Road around 8:54 p.m.

When police arrived they said a confrontation erupted between one of the suspected robbers and an officer.

The suspect, a 30-year-old Pontiac man, was fatally shot by the officer."

Please read the rest of the story and note that this is a report from Channel 4 action news:

http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/16803614/detail.html

Here's is a perfect example why more citizens should be armed. Now the agency responding to this call is not short staffed, but the neighboring agency is. I have spoke to some of the officers there and they are being helped out by two other agencies with traffic, but that agency still has to handle their own calls for service. They are telling me that it is not easy, and they can't always respond in a timely manner.

My point is ...If this would of happen across the street, I am afraid that the person that was about to be robbed would have probably been shot as well as robbed. Not because the agency's police officers are not able to police correctly, it's because they have been stripped naked of the tools and resources to do the job in a timely manner.

In a economy like this...and remember Michigan is suffering severely from loss of jobs and revenue generated from property tax (we have a very high home foreclosure rate) cops are being let go and the criminals know it. So they get this bright idea they can start crap and get away with it. This is a really good example why our fore fathers gave us the right to bear arms. The potential victim in this case was fortunate that the agency responding is not short staffed, but many police departments in Michigan are facing staffing issues because of Michigan's economy. And that is where I think the Supreme Court's ruling is very important in citizens being able to protect them selves.

The responding officer in this case I think did a good job.  Hopefully, the clowns that are robbing people in this area will get the point Auburn Hills cops aren't messing around.

Guns galore

Some criminals might think that they would be entitled to use weapons to defend themselves from police officers, since they are almost never on their side anyway. It would seem that they have nothing to lose. They could defend themselves from the psychological or physical violence of the police. Heck, why should we let them stomp on us? It doesn't make sense.

Ummm....it may seem as if police are never on the side of criminals because, well, you know...THEY'RE NOT. That whole thing about criminals breaking their covenant with Society ya know. If a criminal doesn't want to be 'stomped' or put in the position of having to 'defend themselves' from cops, then all they have to do is STOP BREAKING THE LAW. Simple as that. Don't like a law? Complain to your Senator or Congressman. But if you break it, be prepared to pay the consequences. If you try to avoid the consequences by assaulting an officer, then be ready to pay for THOSE consequences instead.

Criminals can't help but break the law, its in their blood. We need to construct a defense system against the police and be on guard against their heedless physical and mental abuse.

In their blood my ass!!!! Its a choice, not a DNA factor!!!! Sounds like your making a pathetic excuse for a criminals actions, or maybe you are a criminal, either way let me make it easy for you to understand, there is right, and there is wrong! and anyone with a IQ over 70 points knows this.

When you break the law, you have made your choice, and as LE we have made our choice, and when it comes to heedless physical and mental abuse, look at the stats, and you can plainly see that falls on the dirtbags.......criminal heads, not Law Enforcement!!!!!

Lawdog, meet oldhag, aka arrested. Just the local troll fishing for a fight.

Criminals break the law because they are to lazy to work for what they want, are cowards, and basically scum. They care only for themselves and no one else, most definately not the society which supports them with educational programs, work programs, drug programs, etc. There is nothing noble about a criminal. Not even Robin Hood who 'stole from the rich'...well, of course he did. The poor had nothing. Except heavier taxes levied to ransom King Richard from the Moors, thanks to Robin who kept stealing the ransom money.

Criminals already have a defense against the Police. It's called not being a criminal any longer. Stop stealing, raping, murdering, beating, molesting, endangering, etc etc others and the Cops won't bug you. Ya see, Arrested, the common, decent folks of the world realised that THEY needed a defense against the vicious violent thugs that preyed upon them and thus the Police were formed. It is the job of the cop to prey upon those who prey upon society.

Criminals are some of the most intelligent people on the planet

All of the worlds most creative artists and poets and scientists were either criminals or alcoholics or drug addicts.

BZZZZ! Sorry, but that is an incorrect answer. You do not win the free car or the trip to Monte Carlo, but thank you and play again soon!

Criminals are people who break the law. Simple as that. Stop trying to claim they are some sort of subgroup. I do find it interesting that you think child molesters, rapists, and murderers are people who should be honored.

So which one was Albert Einstein or Sir Isaac Newton, two of the world's brightest scientists?
