Typical texan swagger...
"Let's fire up ol sparky"...I'm for the death penalty for mass murder but nothing less. As for child abuse, some kids just learn that the world is a mean place and no one has to protect you.

RE: February 2008 - Editorial - When is a death sentence not a death sentence?
By the way, if you execute all the child molesters, where will all the Roman Catholics be on Sunday morning, huh? They would all have to start going to different churches.

Does oldhag have psych issues or just have a very bad sarcastic, abrasive wit?

Both is also a possibility. She has been carrying a grudge against law enforcement for a while. When she first joined the old board, her handle was "arrested" and her profile indicated something about having been arrested a million times.
She will occasionally make a rational and logical post that contributes, but they seem to be getting more and more rare. I just ignore her sarcasm most of the time.
She does make one contribution that is almost worthwhile. She is a constant reminder that the people we arrest are real people and don't see things the same way we do. I wish she could leave the hatred aside and just contribute as a rational person, but she appears to have given up on that.

Steve, she almost gave me a complex about my posts. I post the things that I do to educate cops so they don't get themselves in trouble. Now that I know of oldhags history....I shall maintain my mission to educate....I have seen nothing in her posts that would do anything for anyone...so she will just have to be relegated to living in forum Siberia.

Love being talked about...good or bad, ha ha ha, thanks. Siberia...? I'm flattered. :)
If any "outsider" came here with 100% anti-law enforcement attitude, there really wouldn't be much to talk about here. It doesn't matter what I think. I wouldn't vent it all here because there wouldn't be any point. What sorry loser ONLY takes an anti-cop stance?
Any way, we're talking about the death sentence here. I'll go back on the defense, and defend the lepers of humanity!
Its hard to defend the humanity of people who have truly commited the grossest acts against the weakest and smallest. Most "molesters" hurt people in their close circles (family members), who have some emotional connection to them. I doubt the victims would want them to be put to death. I'd assume most people are thinking about some evil, stranger, killer, monster, not some nice looking, socially accepted person. As a matter of fact, I would even venture to say there must be something very attractive and likeable about the person, if they are able to "get away" with something like this.
...But I suppose then that you would all want "cop killers" to get the death penalty. That ought to get you all fired up.

I have a very important question for you, Irishone: What kind of caffeine do you consume in the morning, is it legal, and can you get some for the rest of us?

If a child molester is your family priest, your brother, or a stranger complete with trenchcoat and fedora lurking in the shadows, what difference does it make? He's destroyed a life. Flip the switch.
Cop killers SHOULD get the death penalty. Think about it, if they're willing to kill the defenders of society, how are they going to treat the members of that society? Not any better would be a good guess.
I'm in favor of increasing the death penalty. Don't wanna ride ole sparky? Don't commit egrarious crimes which will give you the death penalty.
