Glock will release two more Gen4 pistols in 2011, including the G21 .45 ACP and G34 9mm pistol, the company announced at SHOT Show 2011.

The two new offerings will arrive in the summer, and Glock will also release a new beaver-tail back strap to help larger-handed officers avoid slide bite. The back strap is expected to be offered as an accessory, according to a company rep at the Glock booth.

Glock now offers 11 Gen4 pistols that offer dual-recoil springs to improve accuracy and adjustable back-straps so officers can achieve an optimal grip on the weapon.

In 2011, available Gen4 pistols will include the G17, G19, G26 and G34 in 9mm; G22, G23, G27 and G35 in .40 caliber; G21 in .45 ACP; G37 in GAP; and G31 in .357.

Glock manufactured the G37 for the Florida Highway Patrol in 2010, after receiving a special request from that agency.
