Arkansas Officer Tasers 10-Year-Old Who Refused Shower
An officer with the Ozark (Ark.) Police Department used his Taser stun gun on a 10-year-old girl who resisted taking a shower, after the girl's mother authorized the officer to use the less-lethal weapon, USA Today reports.
The incident brought calls from the town's mayor for an investigation of the department by the state police or FBI; both agencies have declined. The girl was apparently not hurt.
Chief Jim Noggle said no disciplinary action has been taken against officer Dustin Bradshaw who was kicked in the groin by the girl when he tried to handcuff her, according to the police report. Bradshaw had responded to a domestic disturbance call.
