How in God's name are we the Police going to be able to tell the pre-ban / post ban weapons from the Clinton era to the sunset under the G.W. Bush era to the proposed Obama era ?.............we will NEVER figure it out. And neither will anyone else. GOOD LUCK and the proposed ban is totally UN-AMERICAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but with new Supreme Court rulings backing up the right of Americans to own weapons (Heller), it will be against the Constitution for any officer to enforce any regulation thought up by these liberal gun grabbers. There are plenty of laws already on the books to use against the criminal element without making our law abiding Citizens into instant criminals by decree. If it cannot be enforced, or if we refuse to enforce it, then it has NO power. I will refuse.

Well if it happens then all I can say is "I TOLD YA SO" Oh by the way be sure and vote for him again. We already have light years of gun laws on the books and they are not enforced or stupid or used in a retarded fashion.

What are they thinking? Do they actually thing the BG's care about any law? They have the $$ to go anywhere in the world to buy "REAL" assault weapons.

The Elite class once again wanting to feel safe by disarming the serfs. Never fails. Tatus once said "The more laws the more corrupt the republic." This is just a socialist doing what we all knew he would do. Being ordered to take firearms from the populace? Is that even a lawful order? After the Hammer brought by the Heller case I would believe it to be illegal to even give such an order much less act on it. And I ask you all. Constitutionally, what measures may a citizen take to resist an unlawful arrest? Look It up...

They were able to ram the 'stimulus' bill without proper process and they will try to do the same with anti-gun legislation. Ulitmately they intend to ban all semi automatics, including shotguns, to include those designed and used for hunting and accuracy sports. Criminals couldn't care less what laws are on the books and they don't obtain fireams at gun shows or legit gun dealers. Closing those will NOT have any impact on criminals selling or possessing guns. Here OR in Mexico ! "Cop Killer" bullets is another bogus phrase coined by anti-gunners with the enthusiastic help of the media. ANY bullet can kill ANYONE, including LEO's if it is fired carelessly or with the intent to kill another person. Their ultimate goal is to ban all ammunitions and effectively disarm the people because without ammo, a gun is only an expensive club. I believe these are only 'testing the water' first steps to see how far they can push the American sheep. I am also glad to know there are other LEO's who will refuse to enforce these unconstitutional laws.

First off I could really care less about Mexico's problems. Second if they are so concerned about guns coming from the US maybe they should seal their border-Oh wait we cannot do that. How would all their people get into the US to commit all the crimes they commit? Third- If they could police their own police their crime rate would drop big time. Fourth- I would feel safe in saying many weapons used in crimes in Mexico come from the US government (Go back to the 3rd point) Fifth- last time I checked it was illegal to own most any type of firearm in Mexico, works real good doesn't it?

Another Assault Weapons Ban is not going to happen.
Nancy Pelosi has distanced herself from these remarks. See: http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/reid-joins-pelosi-in-opposing-weapons-ban-revival-2009-02-26.html
The Democrats in Congress know that the voters don't want more gun control.
