Wiley X Eyewear Named Official Eyewear of the U.S. National SWAT Championships

Wiley X Eyewear has been named the Official Eyewear of the United States National SWAT Championships, a series of competitions attracting the best Special Weapons and Tactics teams from law enforcement agencies across the nation and around the globe.

The U.S. National SWAT Championships is a property of Advanced SWAT Training & Competition (AST&C), a Colorado company specializing in law enforcement training and law enforcement related competitions. AST&C competitions focus on policing skills and marksmanship, with an objective of providing cutting-edge training to law enforcement agencies that is both relevant and practical. In 2008, the U.S. National SWAT Championships featured 30 teams and more than 600 top competitors, including international teams from Canada, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. The event continues to grow in stature and reputation, with even greater participation expected for the 2009 Championships, scheduled for June 14–20 at the U.S. Shooting Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

"Working with the U.S. National SWAT Championships is a natural fit for our company and our products," says Wiley X, Inc.'s President of Sales, Myles Freeman, Jr. "We are proud to support the valuable training and recognition this organization provides, and we welcome the opportunity to showcase our high-performance gear to the best SWAT operators from around the world."

Wiley X Eyewear is a leading provider of cutting edge performance protective eyewear for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and other elite Special Forces units around the globe. For over 22 years, Wiley X has set the benchmark for safety, style, and utility, with all of its models meeting or exceeding ANSI Z87.1-2003 requirements for High Velocity Impact Standards. Many Wiley X Eyewear models also meet military VO Ballistic Impact Specs, blending military performance with more than 20 styles of lightweight spectacles and goggles, in addition to multiple tactical glove models named on the Military's Flame Resistant Combat Glove Authorized Product List.

With credentials like these, it's no wonder Wiley X Eyewear can be found wherever people push the limits of performance and endurance. Comfortable and stylish in addition to being extremely sturdy, Wiley X glasses are favored by law enforcement officers, NASCAR and NHRA drivers, fans and over-the-wall crews, motorcycle riders, hunters, fishermen, active lifestyle and extreme sports enthusiasts alike.
