800 Recruits Test for Las Vegas Patrol Jobs

About 800 candidates hoping to patrol the streets of Las Vegas took written tests for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department this week, the Mercery News reports.
Successful testers will be eligible for the department's 24-week academy in the summer of 2010. Of the department's 5,900 employees, it employs 2,600 sworn officers.
