Pennsylvania Officer Charged with Homicide for On-Duty Shooting

The 14-year veteran of the Hummelstown Police Department allegedly tailed Kassick after he failed to pull over and shot him multiple times in the back.

A Dauphin County, Pa., police officer is charged with killing a man following a traffic stop last month.

State police in Harrisburg charged the 36-year-old officer on Tuesday with criminal homicide regarding the Feb. 2 shooting of 59-year-old David Kassick, Lancasteronline reports.

The 14-year veteran of the Hummelstown Police Department allegedly tailed Kassick after he failed to pull over and shot him multiple times in the back, according to news reports.

He wasn't armed, according to those reports.
