Former NYPD officer Kenneth Moreno says the criminal justice system let him down.
The ex-cop acquitted of forcing himself on a drunken woman whom he says he was helping blasted prosecutors Sunday, saying they bowed to political pressure in taking a weak case to trial.
"I had faith in the DA's office, especially because I was innocent," he told the Daily News as he left his Park Slope, Brooklyn, apartment to get breakfast with his wife, Julia Moreno. "I guess they had to continue. I am so very confused. I think it was more politics than criminal."
