Bernard Kerik Trial Set For Early November

A judge has set a date of Nov. 9 for the commencement of the trial of former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, who has also been jailed for allegedly leaking sealed information, the New York Times reports.

The 54-year-old Kerik, who served as the NYPD's top cop from 2000 to 2003, is facing three separate federal trials. In the first, the former Bush homeland security appointee faces corruption, conspiracy, and tax fraud charges connected to renovations of his apartment by a mob-connected contractor while he led the city's corrections system.
