Private Security Company's Deal To Manage Empty Montana Jail Unravels

A mysterious company calling itself American Police Force was slated to take over a jail in Hardin, Mont., but the deal is now off, after the state's attorney general began scrutinizing it, the Billings Gazette initially reported.

A city joint powers agency has cancelled the contract, after information surfaced that the company's frontmen had a criminal record in California, that the company changed its name to American Private Police Force and a company SUV used a decal "City of Hardin Police Department."
