Man Killed By Dallas Officer Was Holding Cellphone
A Dallas police officer shot and killed a man who was pointing a black object at him that turned out to be a cell phone, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Officers were called to a home Sunday evening, after a report of people being loud and firing guns in a backyard. Several people fled, when officers arrived. A remaining person did not drop the black object, after several commands from the officers in English and Spanish. Officer Paul Ford then shot and killed the man with his rifle.
