Foot Pursuit Ends When Suspect Jumps Fence Into Sheriff's Yard
A Carson City man was apprehended after a foot pursuit that began when deputies pulled him over during a traffic stop and ended when he jumped over a fence into Sheriff Ken Furlong's backyard, reports the Nevada Appeal.
During a Saturday patrol, Deputy Tara Collier spotted a vehicle driving 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. Collier ran the plate, and it came back to 22-year-old Shawn Nicholas Sulli, who had a warrant for felony third-offense drunken driving.
Collier flipped on her lights and followed Sulli until he pulled over, allegedly got out of the vehicle and took off running.
