Chicago Police Will Be Evaluated on Attitude
The Chicago Police Department will add a new layer of review of its officers next year, evaluating not only job performance, but attitudes and interactions with the public, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The department issued a general order with specific examples, such as failing to stop a suspect or angrily dealing with the public that could lead to "requires improvement" or "unacceptable" marks on a performance review.
The poorest performers could be terminated, according to a department spokesman.
