Discovery Channel and Oakland PD Argue Over Gang Crime in City
Oakland, Calif., according to police spokesman Jeff Thomason, has only a half-dozen gangs. What's even more astonishing is that police say that just a dozen of the more than 200 homicides in this city in 2008 and 2009 have been listed as gang-related killings.
How can that be?
Well, according to an unedited screening of "Gang Wars: Oakland," a two-part documentary film, Oakland police have vastly underestimated the gang problem.

Street coppers always know ~exactly~ what's going on in the 'hoods they service... it's political-hacks Mayor Dellums and his PD's Brown-nosin' Brass that are lying like a rug with their three-monkey BS act: "See no evil, hear no..."<br /><br />And let's never forget the four Oakland coppers -- including three experienced supervisors -- recently murdered by that "nice young man," Lovelle Mixon, whom we are expected to believe was never a 'banger. Riiiiiight. The local government are, as usual, a significant part of the problem and its continuum.<br /><br />
